Our experience with Greater Giving as a fundraising platform left much to be desired. To access the necessary functional features for a hybrid fundraiser, we were compelled to invest in the costly Expert+ plan. The unexpected expense of nearly $2000 for onsite support and the absence of a scanner for check-in exacerbated the situation, resulting in frustratingly long lines at the event. After doing more research after the event, we found out that their credit card processing fee was also higher than most at 3.95%.
We didn’t love using Greater Giving as a fundraising software. We had purchased the $795 I think it was called the “Event” package. We realized that the lack of mobile bidding features caused us to miss out on valuable donations. If we consider using them again in the future, it's clear that we'll need to upgrade to a higher-priced package or explore other options that better cater to our needs and budget.

It did cost us more in the end than we realized with credit card fees but overall we really liked the platform and the ease of use for online events.

You basically have to get the Expert+ package to do normal things like mobile bidding, have an event page, online ticketing, or event text message to attendees. We settled on buying that package for $1995 to get all the features we needed especially for our living streaming portion of the event. Overall it was an ok platform but just seems pricey to get the basics of what others offer.
